The Association for International Arbitration (AIA) works towards promotion of Alternative Dispute Resolution in general and arbitration in particular, as a means of dispute resolution and strives to bring together the global community in this field, be it as professionals in the form of judges, lawyers, arbitrators, mediators or as academics as well research scholars and students. With this unique blend of people, AIA aims at inculcating an interest in ADR, not only in the professional sphere but also create an awareness and interest in it among budding professionals in law schools/universities all around the globe.

The AIA is not an arbitration institute and does not make any appointment.

The Association for International Arbitration is a non-profit organization with an increasing number of members among arbitrators and mediators of international and local backgrounds throughout the globe.

It was established with the aim of facilitating arbitration, mediation and general forms of dispute resolution internationally. AIA has developed into an organization dealing in the private international law field so as to meet the needs of the fast-growing evolution of dispute resolution within the international community in times of globalization.

At present, the AIA provides information, training and educational activities to expand the promotion of arbitration and ADR globally by means of securing partnerships with various organizations parties to get involved in the life of the association.

AIA constantly works to develop partnerships in the international realm, to provide the international community of arbitrators and ADR professionals with continuous exposure to the latest international developments, activities and opportunities in the field. AIA continually encourages the participation and contribution of its members in the pursuit of the association’s goals.

AIA can assist in the introduction of arbitrators and mediators; however it is not an arbitration institute and does not appoint arbitrators.

The AIA also encourages and promotes for scholarship and publication, and a forum for legal discourse. AIA is yearly organizing training and educational activities to foster further learning and professional accuracy.
