Community Mediation Services' trained volunteer mediators help people work together to resolve disputes, make decisions, and restore justice.

CMS is committed to providing effective, confidential, and accessible services to a community with diverse needs.

Established in 1983 as a community-focused 501(c)3 non-profit organization, CMS makes a difference through the support of dedicated volunteers, referral partners, and public and private funding.

Mediators of CMS

Community Mediation Services, Inc. currently has a panel of over one hundred volunteer mediators. Each has completed, at a minimum, a thirty-hour training course and an observation period in order to mediate. In addition, each mediator must complete six hours of continuing education each year. Their mediators represent many different age, race, religious and socio-economic groups.
