The Officers are the President, Deputy President, Vice President and Immediate Past President; the President chairs the Council meetings and the Director General.

The Association has four offices: London, Beijing, Geneva and Kiev.

[edit] GAFTA Arbitration & Mediation

GAFTA's internationally respected arbitration service provides parties who use GAFTA's standard forms of contract with a system to resolve trade disputes in a fast and efficient manner.

All disputes are adjudicated by Arbitrators who have been assessed under the CPDP requirement and are GAFTA Qualified Arbitrators.

GAFTA also offers an Arbitration Service for maritime disputes arising under the GAFTA Charterparty. These disputes are adjudicated by GAFTA Qualified Arbitrators who are expert in maritime matters.

Additionally GAFTA offers contracting parties an alternative to arbitration by using mediation to resolve any disputes. Mediation can be used at any time and is a useful way to assist parties in negotiating solutions whilst at the same time preserving trade relationships.

In order to maintain its high standards all GAFTA Qualified Arbitrators and Mediators are registered on GAFTA's Continuing Professional Development Programme to keep up-to-date on all contractual and arbitral issues.
