Overbid

The overbid in a conflict always consists to add more of what is already done a lot, to block in order to make neither more nor less than usual, to withdraw always more of what is already done few. In other words, can be distinguished:

  • do more than what we do already much: the addition
  • do as much as what is usually done: the litany
  • do less than what we do already few: the withdrawal

When the parties will meet, to be effective, the mediator must know how to lead the individual interviews aiming at the preparation of the parties, as well as the initial meeting of information, and he also must know how to lead and manage the mediation process according to what has been agreed with the parties during the definition of communication rules and potential obstacles for the success of their mediation.
